Practice Mindfulness!

Great advice — and you are thinking, who has the time? Here’s one you can practice on the go to release anxiety and bring your focus back to the present moment.

  • Pause.
  • Choose an object in your surroundings.
  • Focus on its shape and texture. This can be a candle, a flower vase, a rock, your bag, a leaf, anything.
  • Look at the object, eyes open or partially closed. Relax.
  • Notice its every minute detail — patterns, scratches, shape, texture.

This will keep your mind in the present moment and allow your body to unwind from any anxiety/tension you are experiencing.

When you feel calmer — get back to life.

Let go of grudges, be at peace.

Vidya’s Thursday Tip

When faced with life’s problems, it can seem like the end of the world. Problems can eclipse everything else, even the good stuff.

When this happens,

  • Take a step back.
  • Look at the bigger picture.
  • Ask yourself, “What am I worried about? Will it matter in a week, a month, or a year?”

You’ll be surprised to find that the answer is often NO.

Adjust your perspective with the “NO” to take the edge off what is bothering you right now.

Gently steer yourself towards peace of mind.

I know you know this. It is just a gentle loving reminder

Try this Centering Meditation — it works.
