Chocolate is cheaper than therapy and you don’t need an appointment — Catherine Aitken

  • Open a bar of chocolate. Bring it close. Inhale the aroma.
  • Break off a piece.
  • Observe it: imagine its texture and taste.
  • Gently place it in your mouth, on your tongue.
  • Let it melt naturally.
  • Chocolate is supposed to have over 300 flavors. How many can you sense?
  • Is your mind wandering? Where is it going? Gently steer it back to this moment.
  • When the chocolate has fully melted, swallow slowly, consciously.
  • Feel it trickle down your throat.
  • Repeat with another piece.
  • And another.

How does it feel? How did you feel?

Eating mindfully makes everything taste better. Including Life.
