Close Your Eyes and Observe
To help manage distractions and focus

We often get distracted, primarily because of what our eyes can see. We jump from thing to thing and our attention wanders. The best way to remove a distraction is to stop seeing it.
To do this:
- Close your eyes.
- Take a deep breath.
- Relax.
- Focus on what’s going on around you.
- Pay attention to the sounds near you.
- Slowly, start focusing on sounds a little farther away.
- Now, pay attention to what is going on next to you.
- What do you hear?
- Voices? What are they saying?
- Next, pay attention to the distant noises, sounds, and voices.
- The goal is to understand, not analyze what is happening.
- Just pay attention. Observe what is going on without seeing.
How do you feel?
