Inspiring reads — 3

We rise by lifting others ~ Robert Ingersoll

What an eventful week it has been — the one that went by! Busy does not begin to describe it. But as my wise mother always said, busy is always better than boring.

I did not read as much as I would have liked to, what with being occupied with dealing with paperwork and filling lengthy forms and meeting work deadlines. But I did read enough to make a list of what I enjoyed. Also, I got my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and felt absurdly happy when I received a text from the government congratulating me. Small pleasures!

As I hope my country heals fast from the pandemic, I am also anxious about the next two months which will involve preparing for my son to move to the US in time for Fall classes. I am going to choke up every time I think/say that.

I am grateful for the wonderful posts I have the joy of reading, the comments on my own posts and the kindness of strangers who are not friends . . . yet.

And now, as I sit enveloped by the heady fragrance of the champa flowers I bought on my way back home from the vaccination and my cup of tea, here are the posts I enjoyed this week:

JM Heatherly’s delightful recipe for chamomile tea had me heading to the kitchen to try the specific flavors he suggested.

Ching Ching’s Smells Like Onion But It’s Not an Onion was fascinating — and you’ll know why when you read this short but sweet post.

Katie Michaelson’s A series of Simple Acts of Kindness warmed my heart, because the world is a much better place when these things happen!

Trista Signe Ainsworth Launches Into Joy in her beautiful thank-you note with a round-up of amazing posts.

Ali Hall’s About Me story is absolutely delightful! I have always enjoyed reading someone’s biography!

In her article “Is It Possible to Heal Chronic Pain?” Sandra Pawula shares her success with a brain-based treatment approach combined with orthopedic manual therapy for chronic pain along with intriguing research.

Please do visit (and perhaps follow) her new publication “EaseAbility” where she shares stories that will help you live with more ease — emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

I enjoyed Alberto García 🚀🚀🚀’s post about stoicism for real life.

Cathy Taughinbaugh’s post about the CRAFT approach to help children in the midst of their substance use and support early recovery and how it can help families is a must-read.

Justiss Goode asks: which type of Medium writer are you and offers an invitation in her post. Please take a look!

Diana C., as always, dazzles with her superbly crafted weekend round up post.

Wrapping up, I say:

You are amazing. Remember that! ❤

Have a glorious week ahead!
