Oh Deb! Hugs! Your post made me cry. Also reminded me of a couple of occasions in my own life - ironically one was about my diary. Corporal punishment is just NOT done! And yet, in our Indian schools, it is a "normal" thing. Parents don't always object and most of the time, children are afraid to tell him for fear of things getting worse in school.
