So Valentine’s Day is here. Do you celebrate it? Is it a special day for you?

I remember my first Valentine’s Day card. It was from a colleague at work. With a sweet poem. I am sure I still have it in my box of memories. I personally believe that V Day does not have to be about romance. What do you think?

Because Love is Love, right? Right!

In this “month of love”, I mourned the loss of my mom on 8 Feb — it has been twelve years without her. But life is about balance. On 9 Feb, we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. It was sad-happy as our son wasn’t home, but thanks to technology, we pretended we were together.

My friend gifted me a cute bamboo plant with some ceramic baby Buddhas that I love…especially the little butts!

And now — let’s read this week’s fabulous stories

In keeping with V day, I read this most delightful love story by Kamna Kirti. There’s also a fun prompt there — if you’d like to respond. I am working on mine.

I also loved Kris Bedenian’s post about love — and the sweet lessons from the bag of candies.

Christina’s about me story is one of the sweetest I’ve read! Please do check out this visual delight!

You cannot measure the value of happiness in monetary terms. This is brought home by Dr. Preeti Singh in her beautiful post.

You will love this post from Sujona Chatterjee where she describes her journey from self-love to self-awakening ❤

Sandra Pawula’s wonderful post about taking quiet time off for yourself is something we all need. I learned to do this the hard way, but you don’t need to do that. She lists ten simple ways to help you do it.

Thief’s always brilliant verse is unparalleled. Enjoy!

Diana C., as always dazzles with her writing. I loved this post

Jill (Conquering Cognitions)’s post made me laugh so much — it was funny and I could totally identify with it!

For the writer in you, Elizabeth Dawber’s lesson 2 in her 8-part fiction writing masterclass is out. It’s as amazing as the first one. Do read (and learn.)

I have been meaning to respond to Ali Hall’s heartwarming post. Eh, actions speak louder than words, no? Please do read this post — it is so very feel-good. And if you decide to respond, do tag me.

Umme Salma is a lovely writer who charms you with her words. Here’s one I enjoyed about creating your brand as a writer.

Oh, I know it is Valentine’s Day, but sometimes you just gotta let go! Liberty Forrest, Author’s post gives you five good reasons to gaslight someone. Because, baby, self-love should be your priority.

pockett dessert’s photography and words take my breath away!

Vanita Cyril’s post about missing her mom squeezed my heart. We have so many similarities in our lives…no wonder we’re sisters.

Nancy Blackman’s post is thought-provoking. She asks, what if where you are right now is the best place to be? Some great questions for reflection in her post, too.

And because it is V Day, let me leave you with an earworm song that used to drive me crazy back in the day. Then, suddenly, I found myself listening to it just out of nostalgia. Oh, I love Stevie Wonder.

Stevie Wonder’s I just called to say I love you (and I mean it from the bottom of my heart!) You’re welcome!

Have a lovely week, ya’ll, filled with — of course — LOVE! ❤
