This Week’s Joyful Reads
My weekly roundup of inspiring reads — 12
Believe it or not, I’ve had this page open since yesterday. Yes. Each line came with an interruption. Phone calls, doorbells, email dings, WhatsApp alerts — none of which I could ignore. Then of course there’s the usual list of things — cooking, cleaning, etc. etc.
Last week I was busy making lists and this week I am busy trying to procure everything my son needs on that list to pack into his suitcases — he leaves in ten days. And of course, Murphy’s Law is always at play because you can never be certain about anything in life.
None of it stopped me from getting my dose of joyful reads on Medium. I am sure I’ve mentioned this before: this is one of my favorite posts to write.

Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她)’s post was my first read of the week, I think, and I was blown away, not just with her writing but the other brilliant writer she mentioned: Nada Chehade. I spent all morning catching up with what Nada had written.
Sandra Pawula’s post about what the coronavirus is trying to tell us — a wonderful perspective.
Thief’s poem, as always, enthralls.
CARMEN F MICSA’s lovely post on how to increase serendipity in your life is most enjoyable.
Zeenat Merchant Syal, M.A, M.Sc post talks about practicing positive affirmations — after all, we are what we think.
Elle Sommer shows you how to embrace your heart energy in her post.
Evelyn Lim talks about how inner space is a huge container for voyages of discovery too.
I love Sujona Chatterjee’s writing. Here’s one of her posts I enjoyed as I could identify with what she said.
