Yikes! Painful! Hugs!

A month before the race, I went to a beer festival. A friend shoved a bunch of free tickets into my hand. It didn’t end well. I tripped and fell while crossing the road and broke my ribs. The next time I tried to run, I couldn’t breathe due to the pain. My chance to finish a race was over before I made it to the starting line.
